No matter you are using SF Speedy Express or Drop & Pick, the rates per 0.5kg have increased from $6 to $7.

2) GOGO Delivery

GOGO Delivery offer three types of service, including “instant”, “4-hour” and “same-day” delivery. “Instant” and “4-hour” delivery means order placed between 8am-10pm will be completed in around 1-2 hour and 4 hours respectively; while “same-day” delivery means order placed before 10:45 am will be completed by 6pm, and order placed before 3:45pm will be completed between 6pm-10pm.

 

GOGO Delivery charge depends on the delivery location, taking a delivery order of 5 kg documents from Tsuen Wan to Central as an example, the “4-hour”, “Same-day” and “Instant” shipping rates of GOGO Delivery are $65, $50 and $105 respectively, these three rates are all cheaper than that of SF”s $86. Another example with 10 kg documents and the same delivery location, the “4-hour”, “Same-day” and “Instant” shipping rates of GOGO Delivery are $75, $60 and $105 respectively, these three rates are still cheaper than that of SF”s $151.

 

All in all, GOGO Delivery is cheaper than SF Express in terms of shipping costs for both light and heavy documents, and its “same day” and “instant” express delivery services are suitable for online stores with customers that have urgent needs or those shops that are selling food.

 

3) Hongkong Post

The “Local CourierPost” offered by Hongkong Post allow shop owner to choose from Delivery Service, Counter Collection Service, or “iPostal Station” Mail Collection Service. No matter which district you would like to deliver to, HK Post will charge a uniform rate for their extensive service coverage, making it easier for the shop owner to calculate the shipping fee.

 

Local Courierpost Service serves both account customers and casual customers, where “account customers” pay on a monthly basis at a cheaper rate. Hence, shop owners who have large amounts of orders each month are recommended to register as account customers for the cheaper shipping cost with bulk amount. Compared with SF, as long as the number of delivery reaches over 50 orders per month, the unit charge (up to 1kg) is less than $29.5, which is slightly lower than that of SF’s $30.

 

However, the maximum size of each item should not be greater than 358mm x 250mm and thickness not exceeding 50mm. If the item size exceeds this requirement, shop owner may consider using Local Parcel services where the courier fee is $70 for the first 3 kg. 4) jumppoint

jumppoint is a logistic company that developed rapidly in these two years, one of the selling points is their cheap shipping rate. 

 

jumppoint offers two types of service: “Standard Delivery” & “Same day Delivery”. “Standard Delivery” will deliver the order one day after receiving it and it is only applicable for room temperature shipments, the maximum weight per order is 20kg. The shipping rate for the first 1kg is $28 and $32 for 2-5kg, subsequent weight is $2/kg.

 

“Same day Delivery” will deliver the order on the same day receiving it and it is suitable for goods in different temperature ranges, such as frozen meat at -18°C, sake at 0-4°C, and electronic products at room temperature. The weight limit for this service is 0-20kg with a flat rate of $68/order.

 

Comparing jumppoint’s “Same day Delivery” with SF’s “Speedy Express”, the shipping fee of 0-3.5 kg will be relatively cheaper for SF Express; and if it is more than 4kg, the uniform fee of $68 from jumppoint would be cheaper.

 

jumppoint offers multi-temperature vehicles for shop owners to choose from, which the same vehicle can transport frozen meat at -18°C, sake at 0-4°C, and room temperature clothing and electrical appliances at the same time. This edge would be attractive to those who sell products that require a specific storage temperature, such as wine and frozen meat.

However, charges for additional weight of jumppoint for 2-5kg is $32 only, which is cheaper than that of alfred’s $4/0.5kg.
